RCM Training

We offer a flexible range of RCM training services to help you improve the reliability of your assets through the application of RCM – whatever your level of familiarisation and experience of the process. Training courses would be based on the courses described below.

Please get in touch to discuss how we can help.

RCM Training

RCM Awareness Session

The RCM awareness presentation is for anybody who needs to support or be aware of an RCM project, without being closely involved in it.

This might include project sponsors and senior management.

The presentation provides an overview of the process, the principles behind it, the resources and support required to carry out RCM properly, some examples of successful (and unsuccessful) implementations, and what needs to happen to ensure you are one of the successful implementations.

This presentation can be carried out on site or remotely and can be carried out for any number of delegates.

It typically takes 2 hours with additional time for questions and discussion.

RCM Introductory Course

The 2.5 or 3-day RCM introductory course is for team members who take part in RCM analyses. It covers the process in more detail including why each of the questions are asked and how to answer each question correctly.

It includes exercises and a classroom case study to reinforce the points made in the training lectures by applying the process in practice

This course can be carried out on-site, or remotely. The on-site course can be carried out for between 4-16 delegates.

The remote course can be carried out as a ‘traditional’ training course, for between 4 and 16 delegates, or a hybrid arrangement that uses a series of training videos.

The hybrid arrangement can be carried out for just one person.

RCM Facilitators Course

The 10-day RCM facilitators course is for those aiming to become RCM leaders within their organisation, and for whom the RCM process needs to be second nature.

In addition to reinforcement and greater detail on the RCM process itself, the course covers related reliability theory and principles.

It also covers the broader organisational, team management, project management and implementation requirements to ensure an RCM project delivers business improvement.

The course includes a zero-based case study on an item of real equipment.

The facilitators course is carried out for between 4 and 12 delegates. This course would normally be carried out on a client site.

Hybrid RCM Training

Hybrid RCM Training

The RCM Introductory course can be carried out as a hybrid course. A series of training videos allow the delegate to cover the theory whenever and wherever they wish, and at their own pace.

If necessary, they can even watch the videos multiple times.

However, this training is not carried out without any involvement or engagement from Reliability Management.

The first stage of the hybrid course is a remote discussion between the delegate and tutor. The delegates then watches the videos.

After the videos have been completed, the case study is covered in stages with support from our consultant.

The course finishes with a test, so the delegate can test their knowledge and understanding.
