Facilitators are specialists in RCM. Their job is to ask the questions and record the answers – to be the owner of the RCM process and help the review group through the RCM decisions – but the decisions are made by the groups.
An RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) Facilitator plays a pivotal role in the RCM process, ensuring its effective implementation and guiding the RCM team throughout.
We offer a flexible range of RCM consulting and RCM facilitation services to help you improve the reliability of your assets through the application of RCM – in a way that is best suited to your context.
Some users like to have their own RCM Facilitators, some like to use external facilitators. There are arguments for both approaches and Reliability Management supports both options (and can also discuss this subject further if needed).
If you wish to use an external facilitator, we can facilitate RCM projects for you, working with a multi-disciplinary team of your own personnel. We have successfully facilitated award-winning analyses.

RCM Consulting
We offer a range of services to support your RCM implementation.
One service we offer is reviewing and auditing your RCM analyses, ensuring (a) that the RCM process has been applied correctly and (b) that the analysis has been carried out in a way that delivers maximum benefit to your business.
Closely related to this, we also mentor RCM facilitators after their training. This can involve sitting in on meetings rtun by them, oir even sharing the facilitation with them.
We can also support you setting up and running RCM projects.
We also offer support in the implementation of the results from your RCM analyses. This includes a strong focus on change management, ensuring that your team is equipped to adopt new practices and processes smoothly.
RCM Facilitation
The RCM facilitator is responsible for the correct application of the RCM process and the implementation of the results.
The facilitator is often the RCM champion – or one of them – in the organisation.
This is a critical role for the success of an RCM project. Some organisations train their own facilitators, and for a large number or projects this is usually the recommended approach. Other organisations prefer to bring in an external RCM expert to facilitate.
